Generali Haching will open up the 2012-13 home schedule against last year’s German league champs BERLIN RECYCLING Volleys.

For the first time, Haching will play at the Olympiahalle in Munich to provide a highlight for the city, in this rematch of the Deutsche Volleyball Liga (DVL) finals series.  The Volleys rallied from a 2-1 games deficit in the best-of-five series, and were trailing 2-1 in sets.  They shocked the best team from the regular season and their fans.

Playing in the Olympiahalle will also provide more space for fans, as their home – Generali Sport Arena in Unterhaching – only holds 1500 people.  Many times, fans were turned away from big matches like the Champions League and last year’s Finals.

Coach Mihai Paduretu lost three key players from last year’s team, and spent the summer recruiting and reloading.  Coach Paduretu, new team captain Christian Dünnes, and newcomer Jan-Willem Snippe speak about the upcoming season.  Here’s our preview:
