Gordon Rising in Hagen
David Bell hit seven three-pointers on his way to lead Phoenix Hagen with 27 points, and Larry Gordon added 18 points and 9 rebounds to spark an 88-82 comeback victory against TBB Trier Saturday night in the Beko BBL.
Gordon is in his second year playing in Hagen, last year averaging 12.7 points-per-game and 6.4 rebounds-per-game. After eight games, he’s increased his stats to 16.5 ppg/8.5 rpg and helped Phoenix to a solid start to the season. After 3-0 out of the gate, the team lost four consecutive but the win Saturday night righted the ship for now. Gordon was instrumental in the fourth quarter, hitting a huge trey with 1:58 left to give the needed space to beat Trier.
