Audi Dome, Munich – The FRAPORT SKYLINERS came into their game against FC Bayern Basketball looking for a spark to their season.  They have struggled to a 6-13 start to the season, near the drop zone of the BEKO BBL.  All was well for the the first 38 minutes, as they led by 16 points against a listless Bayern team that was decimated during the week due to illness, including head coach Svetislav Pešić.

But Munich captain Steffen Hamann sparked a second half comeback with a Rajon Rando-esque effort, scoring 13 points, dishing out 8 assists and grabbing 6 rebounds to lead Bayern to a 79-72 win against Frankfurt.

Chevon Troutman led all scorers with 26 points and grabbing 9 rebounds.  During one stretch at the end of the third quarter into the fourth, Chevy and Steffen outscored the Skyliners 15-6 to bring the Reds back within striking distance at 65-60.

However, with 4:49 left, Hamann made one mistake that could have cost them.  After arguing a call, he was given a technical foul, Devin Gibson hit both free-throws for a FRAPORT 67-60 lead.  The visitors were not able to convert on the extra possession, the committed two key turnovers that sparked Munich.

Demond Greene hit two free-throws, Robin Benzing followed with a bucket, and Greene hit from downtown.  His trey tied the game at 67 with 3:23 left.  New ballgame.  The Dome was rockin’.

Zachery Peacock led the Skyliners with 16 points would score, but the Red Wave did not stop.  Troutman evened it up again, Benzing hit four consecutive free-throws, and Jared Homan but a cherry on top with a dunk.  74-69 and game.
