Stechert Arena, Bamberg, October 18 – Curtis Jerrells scored 27 points and Muratcan Guler added 14 points and 7 rebounds as Besiktas Istanbul routed the Brose Baskets 86-71 in the second game of Group D play in the Euroleague.

The champions from Turkey are in first place at 2-0, their plus/minus puts them above FC Barcelona Regal and CSKA Moscow who are both also undefeated.

Anton Gavel scored 21 points for the three-time defending champions from Germany but not enough as the Baskets fall to 0-2.

After a close opening first quarter, Besiktas outscored their hosts 43-23 in the middle quarters to blow open the game.  Bamberg made it close in the 4th, but the game was all but decided.
